We are grateful you are prayfully thinking about getting committed to Christ and his bride, the church. There are several different ways for you to “Get Committed” at The Fields Church.
To Christ
First and foremost, you must committ your whole life to Jesus Christ, trusting him as the only one who can make right what you wronged. It means believing that your sin was paid for by Jesus on the cross almost 2000 years ago. It means committing your life to Him, realizing that His glory is the only thing that matters. To Baptism
The next step of committment to Christ is believers baptism. Baptism in the scriptures is done after someone puts their faith in Christ for salvation. It does not save anyone, but it is a outward symbol of what happens in the life of a believer at the time of salvation. You are immersed under the water, which symbolizes death, and raised back back up, which is a symbol of life. Before Christ, we were dead because of the sin in our life. However, after belief, we were given new life from Christ. If you would like to be baptized, click here.
To The Fields Church
After committing yourself to Christ and baptism, it is so important to committ to be a part of a group of believers. God never meant for life to be done alone. This is why he created marriage in Genesis 2 as well as described the church as a community in Acts 2. We want would love for you to committ to The Fields Church by signing a covenant. If you would like to sign a covenant and pursue covenant membership, click here.
To Discipleship
The only command in the Great Commission of Matthew 28:18-20 is “MAKE DISCIPLES.” We believe making disciples is reproducing yourself spiritually in others. This means intentionally doing life and sharing truth with someone with the hopes that they will committ themselves to Christ, baptism, a church, and discipleship as well. Every believer needs to be making disciples and being discipled. If you would like to be partnered with a disciple maker or make disciples, click here.
To M-Groups
M-Groups are small groups that meet in homes around the city with a missional focus. These groups are the best place for people to get connected with others inside the church. A couple weeks each month will be spent discussing scripture, a common book, or a topic of interest. 1 week a month will be set aside for the group to just hangout, which is a great time for guests to join for the first time. The other week of the month will be intentionally focused on mission to the community and world. To find out more about M-Groups, click here.
To Service
Another great way to get committed is to give some of your time to serve our church and community. This might mean you help us as a church by serving on one of our teams (children, worship, set up, hospitality, etc.) It might mean that you begin serving our community, specifically your own neighborhood or through the YMCA (our host on Sunday mornings and mission outpost throughout the week). If you would like to begin serving in some way, click here.
