Our vision as a church is to be A Church in the World.
In the New Testament the church was not a building. It was the people inside the building who were followers of Jesus that had gathered together to worship God. The Fields Church was planted in hopes of sending the church (people) to the world to fulfill the commission of Christ to make disciples (Matthew 28:18-20). To do this every one of us must live on mission to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the context of relationships.
In the World
Jesus says in Matthew 13:38, “The field is the world and the good seed are the sons of the kingdom.” As followers of Jesus, Sons of the Kingdom, we are to plant our lives in the field of the world. We should never isolate ourselves from those who don’t know or love Jesus, we should live among them. Jesus said we should be in the world, but not of the world.
In John 4:35 Jesus said, “Look, I tell you, lift up your eyes, and see that the fields are white for harvest.” The world has always been and is still in need of restoration. God is still working in the lives of people all around the world. It our desire and prayer to be a people who live out our Christian faith in the world in hopes of growing deep roots in the gospel of Jesus and multiplying our faith in others by sharing the life changing Gospel of Jesus Christ.
